Leaked GW2 Patch Notes…
According to their to and announcement made on Facebook the next highly anticipated Guild Wars 2 beta event will not be happening this weekend or do they mean the first weekend in June? Who knows but essentially what the post is saying is – much like the final release – it will come when it comes!
With everyone around the world desperate for their next fix of Guild Wars 2 this is sad news but as the post says they did learn alot from the first weekend and do not want the same things to happen again so they are adding new hardware to their data centers. This will mean that many more people can have a smoother experience and enjoy the weekend more – hopefully we will see CPU and GPU optimisation for the next weekend too as I really don’t want to suffer the issues I was last time round.
He is the original Facebook post:
Many of you have been asking about when we will have our second Beta Weekend Event. As we are approaching a long weekend in many parts of the world, we understand that some of you want to make plans for that. To help you with that we can confirm that we will NOT be running BWE2 this coming weekend.
Our BWE1 was super successful, we exceeded our expectations. As some of you might have experienced first hand, this lead to some technical issues. To make sure we are not running into the same situation for BWE2, we recently had a stress test, and we are currently deploying a lot of additional hardware in our datacenters.
We will be able to tell you exactly when BWE2 will take place as soon as all the hardware has been deployed. We are not withholding a date intentionally, we want to make sure that BWE2 will be a really great experience for all of you.
I hope this helps a bit in understanding where we are standing – you all have a really relaxing long weekend! ~MK
Hang in their boys and girls we will get to play again soon I am sure…In the meantime check out the latest Guildcast over at Gamebreaker.TV.

Busy but no excuse…
Hey, I have been a little busy over the last week or so and have had little time…ok none to get here and say hello and post some useless info.
I hope everyone is ok and nothing major has skipped my attention – that is except the Diablo 3 release sham, the Diablo 3 account hack sham, the Diablo 3 servers being down too much – basically lots of issues with Diablo 3…still I guess we should cut Blizzard some slack I mean it’s not like they have any experience with releasing major online games is it.
The other bits I missed…
Star Wars layoffs! aside from the obvious shame that yet more people suffer from EA’s stupidity this one could be seen coming a mile away, if only they had released it as a free to play Co-Op game and not claimed it was a fully fledged MMO – Is said that was what was going to happen and people laughed at me, sadly that doesn’t make me feel any better as I did really want SW:ToR to be a win.
Ghost Recon:Future Soldier reviews are starting to filter through and it looks to be a good one, it’s recieving pretty high scores and high praise and as a fan of the franchise I am glad to hear it. I noticed Steam have the Digital Deluxe for a stunning £34.99 along with the Standard for £29.99, yes the links are the same I know. Seriously want to get this one however I have spent far too much on game recently so should wait – some good Single-Player (if too short at about 15 hours) and better Co-Op which is what the series has always been about for me.
Max Payne 3 is getting close to launch and receiving ok reviews which is a shame I expected more and you can bet – being a 3rd person shooter – it’s probably about 8 seconds long and spends too much time focusing on the Multiplayer – bring back good, long, Single-Player experiences and f**k the constant barrage of bollocks games made only for their Multiplayer – to be honest this Industry still has its head up it’s a**e!
Dice – and EA as more and more of its games are now using the Frostbite engine – are saying that any games built on the aforementioned Frostbite tech will need a 64 Operating system to run. Personally I think this is a good thing as it means squeezing more juice out of your processor and having games run a ton better. 90% of people have a 64bit processor now and they just don’t get the benefit if companies don’t release 64bit clients for their games or software and it’s about time that changed! The downside though is that not everyone has a 64bit OS and that could be a real issue going forward. Will it kill sales? I doubt it most people should be looking to upgrade to Win7 64bit or the upcoming Win 8 64bit anyway. (Oh I’m gonna get hate for that one!)
Metro:Last Light – the sequel to the stunning metro 2033 – looks set to get some live action….uhm…action keep a look out here for the full reveal on May 24th. I must say I am looking forward the Last Light – I loved the sotry of the first game it really pulled me in and kept me there right to the end, it was a typical 1st Person shooter in that it was WAY too short and the engine needed some work but otherwise a stunning game.
MMO fans out there should be starting to get excited about the upcoming release of The Secret World – Offering a change to the normal fantasy based MMO with its modern setting and mixing it up with some interesting levelling mechanics and some of the most amazing atmospheric locations of any MMO release to date this is one to watch then Pre-Order and buy Lifetime Subs to (Birthday Pressie from Kaz – thanks babe) – or is that just me?
Oh I nearly forgot – I got a chance to play Torchlight 2 this past weekend and boy have they done a stunning job on it – Playing like a very stylised and more colourful version of Diablo 3 – only bigger and a bit smarter with less problems – it has a real chance a taking the crown from Blizzard in the genre. Steam are offering Pre-Purchases now for the games “Summer” release at £14.99 per or £44.99 for 4 copies of the game so you can play the new Co-Op mode free with your friends much cheaper than its rival!
Back soon for some more updates and chit-chat…

Diablo 3 Francis Rages on YouTube…
Anyone who has not seen a “Francis” video needs to watch this – Thanks to Nynja for sending me this link and one a few videos ago as this guy is brilliant.
Francis is a persona of Boogie2988 and not a real personality so you should take that on-board while watching the video as it puts it into perspective and makes it funnier – Also take the time to check out Boogie’s other videos he is very switched on and makes a damn fine vid!

The Secret World…
Funcom announce another Beta Weekend on the 18th- I played the one this weekend just gone and I really enjoyed the atmospheric environments, quest/mission design and layout, the voice acting and so much more. There are some very, very big many issues that really need fixing but it is a Beta after all – an early version at then – and Funcom assure us they are on it so let’s hope they are.
I really do recommend keeping an eye on this one. For those of you who want an MMO that doesn’t have a fantasy setting , this will float your boat, if you are a Resident Evil fan or Alan Wake or well any survival horror and want and MMO this will work for you.
If Funcom can keep a good amount of control and don’t let EA f**k it up and they get the issues fixed they are on to a winner me thinks, not quiet in the potential WoW killer category but fun enough to distracted you while you wait for Guild Wars 2.

Diablo 3 – A fucking joke or what?
You spend between £36 (Standard Edition) and £75 (Collectors Edition) for the game which to be honest is a Single-Player experience - I know it has the option to play Co-Op, chat online in general chat and use the bizarre fucking real money Auction House, but it’s still pretty much Sinlge-Player - you get it home, unwrap it, install it and think you are going to play, well you’re not!
The totally useless bunch o’ twats that form the institution “Blizzard” seem to have deemed its loyal customers unimportant or at least no t important enough to ensure there is enough server capacity for us to log on. I mean what the fuck! I brought this to play myself and I shouldn’t need to fucking log onto a server just to play the fucking single player!
Even if you are planning on only playing Co-Op this moan and groan is still valid as none of us should have to put up with this especially from a company with such a pedigree in hosting online games! They fucking knew how many they had sold, knew how many people would be trying to get on and because we are all FORCED to log on and play they knew how much server capacity they would need and they still fucked it up.
This is not a fucking MMO I should not be experiencing this kind of shit! Get your heads out of your arses and pay attention! I know it’s hard to do that while being distracted by the piles of cash sat by your desk but fucking try for the sake of your customers!
Honestly what a bunch of arsecrisps!

Whenever I read any statements, comments or responses from EA executives does it just read is “blah-b-blah, blah, blah-blah, blah-b-blah” and smell of bullshit? Read this and tell me what you think.
